Isn't there enough merchandise out there?
Well, I guess that depends on your perspective. Yes, there are a lot of people out there offering unofficial Firefly and Serenity merchandise, there are even links to sites in our links section that will take you to them (we believe in freedom of choice). What this site aims to do is offer high-quality designs on a variety of shirts for a reasonable price. If you don't find something you like here then you might elsewhere. Of course, you could always commission us to produce what you want, and if we're able we'll be happy to!

Who prints your shirts?
We use spreadshirt.com for the majority of our products. We also have a shop with spreadshirt.net for the bits and pieces not offered on the American site, such as bags and some shirts.

Why does the UK shop pretty much only have white shirts available?
Because of the restrictions of printing certain types of graphics on coloured shirts the UK shop can only offer white shirts for the majority of the available designs. Spreadshirt.net are looking into this and have been for some time in an effort to find a printing technique good enough to produce the results their after. Due to the differences in technology between the US and Germany (which is where all the UK shop shirts are actually printed) they can't just use the same processes. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon and we'll put a message up in the What's New section as soon as it does.

Is your site secure?
The short answer is yes. The long answer is not until you hit the section that contains our actual products. Once you're choosing between shirts you're actually on spreadshirts site which uses the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate from Thawte to encrypt all transmitted data. They deal with your order and take payment, we don't. Your personal data is kept confidential, the most we're given is your post code/ zip code. Spreadshirt saves your data exclusively for processing your order. No data will be transmitted to or saved by third parties.

Do I have to pay by credit card?
No (happy dance!). Choices for payment can be found in the checking out process. The UK shop will take Paypal and bank transfers, the US shop will take money orders. If you have any problems please drop Wylt a line (click here to do so).

Who created this site?
Wylt did, she's the resident webmaster (and is feeling very uncomfortable refering to herself in the third person), however big damn site (dot) net is run by both Wylt and Dev. Both of us design for the site and have equal say in what goes on. You can find more about both of us here.

What programme was this site designed in?
Dreamweaver MX 2004 for Macs. Graphics in Fireworks MX 2004. T-shirt designs in Photoshop and Fireworks. Wylt's not smart enough to code everything and she's insecure; if you like the layout let us know, leave us a message!

Why are some of the spellings and date layouts different?
Because Wylt's an English chick, and we're all a little strange.

disclaimer ...
This website is mostly for comedy purposes. If you are a lawyer with no sense of humour we suggest you become an accountant. If you are an accountant: please call Wylt, she's looking to go freelance and needs help. Firefly is (c) Fox Television and Mutant Enemy, Serenity is (c) Universal and Joss Whedon. Copyright for all other copyrighted material is held with those who hold the copyright, not with us. If you are unhappy with anything we are doing on this site then tell us and we'll stop. All original artwork may not, without exception, be used without our prior written permission so feel free to ask, we're generally nice people and rarely bite (well, dev does, but only on request). We're not responsible for the content of any websites we link to, nor for the content of the websites the linked-to websites link to, and overall, we'd rather be on Serenity.

One last thing: we are not in any way, shape or form (other than humanoid) affiliated with Joss Whedon, Firefly or the cast of Serenity. If you email us asking us to forward messages we will, straight to the waste basket, unless they're incredibly interesting in which case we might just ask them should the restraining order ever be lifted.
